Grainsheet reads each file, keeps its 3:2, 4:5 or 1:1 and computes the grid around those measurements. Your 4:5 stays 4:5. The grid bends to the file, not the other way round.

Questions we get.
Do you crop my verticals?
No. A 4:5 stays 4:5. Row height comes from the ratios in the row; widths follow. Nothing is cut.
Does Grainsheet exist yet?
No. Grainsheet is a concept by fabrica, a studio in Barcelona: today it is this site, a sample series and a waitlist. Request access and one email confirms your address. Then silence, until there is something to open.
Will my JPGs be re-compressed?
No. Grainsheet generates smaller sizes from the file you upload and stops there: no size is written at higher compression than your export, and the colour profile travels embedded. Your grain stays grain.
Can I bring my Lightroom or Capture One catalogue?
A folder, today. Export from Lightroom or Capture One as you already do, drop the folder, and Grainsheet reads each file. A plugin that talks to the catalogue is on the list, not built.
Where does the site live?
Grainsheet builds static HTML and serves it from your own domain. The page carries no third-party scripts, and there is no database or plugin behind it. On the Studio plan you download the built site as a ZIP.
